Introducing
|
Who
am I? An entrepreneur, business man, property investor and writer. |
Description
of music |
The
music that I play (along with Peter Baillie) has been described previously
as a cross between Pink Floyd and Crowded House... I love writing lyrics,
and playing lead guitar...and am starting to venture into the world of
singing... |
Who/What
have been your main musical influences ? |
Pink Floyd (and Roger Water's single material) and Lou Reed have been
major influences. Other bands/musicians I love are a wider range such
as Cat Stevens, The Kinks, ColdPlay, The Offspring, David Gray, Foo Fighters,
U2, Radiohead, Dire Straits... and so many others. |
Your
greatest musical moment? |
The first time I ever played live, at the Blue Note last year. Played really
well, and having heard my lyrics (sung by Pete) being enjoyed for the first
time in public. Also, setting up the Open-M ic nights at LiveWire Bar has
been a great musical moment for me, to see so many brilliant players! |
Your
musical dream? |
To write and play on the next Dark Side of the Moon. A fantastic album...
|
Your
best recent listen? |
My best recent listen was Roger Water's "In the Flesh" to on
DVD. Best sing-a-long I have had in ages. |
Your
thoughts about the Kapiti Live Music Club? |
Excellent idea, excellent people, atmosphere, encouragement. My hat is off
to you guys - particularly Karen and Danilo! |
